Bakers from all over Victoria converge on Mildura for the competition with last years’ winners coming from Bridgewater Bakery. Mildura’s own, Hudaks placed second with third place going to Terang Country Bakery. Congratulations to all of the amazing entrants.
The annual competition is held in Mildura’s beautiful Langtree Mall and is a hive of activity over the weekend. Visitors to the Mall can enjoy kids’ activities, cooking demonstrations, live entertainment and the piece de resistance, a Vanilla Slice Market Hall for you to try and buy! What’s not to love about that! The event really does have something for everyone.
The Mall is walking distance from Sunraysia Resort and is one of Mildura’s main shopping precincts filled with shops, cafes and restaurants. You will also find our locally renowned Hudak’s Bakery located there. Hudaks took out number one honours at the Great Australian Vanilla Slice Triumph in 2013 and 2017 and have been runners-up many times throughout the competition. With three locations across Mildura, you are sure to taste many of their delicious cakes and pastries.
